Circle Camps Presents: Race by the Riverside
Join us on Sunday, April 21 at 10:00 am for Circle Camps' spring fundraising event: Race by the Riverside! We raised over $15,000 last year, so we know we can make our goal this year! Your registration fee and/or donation goes directly to Circle and our endeavor to provide free summer camp and leadership programming for girls who have experienced the death of a parent.
This event is totally family-friendly, and please note that there will be a couple of hours of hiking - something to keep in mind when planning with young kids!

FAQs:
When I register, which registration type should I choose?
If you already have a team of 4 put together, choose the "create a team" registration option! You will need to know your teammates' email addresses and emergency contact information. If you don't have a team yet, but you know you want to race, choose the "as an individual" registration option. If you want to attend, hang out, and have fun but do not intend to race, you can also choose the "as an individual" registration option.
How long will the actual racing portion be?
Teams can expect to be walking/racing for about 2 hours.
Does the winning team get a prize?
Yes! Teams who come in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will all receive a great prize. Remember, teams must have 4 members.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes! We will have snacks, drinks, and lunch after the race.
What kind of race is this? How do I win?
Race by the Riverside is an adventure race that incorporates hiking/jogging through the woods in search of checkpoints. The race requires a basic understanding of orienteering (using a map and compass) in order to find these checkpoints. The goal is to find the most checkpoints in the shortest amount of time.
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring a bag that is big enough to fit your water bottle, sunscreen, chapstick, and the map and compass but is small enough to be comfortable. The map and compass will be provided!
What if I'm not a runner?
We are big believers in the "run your own race" mentality. Above all, this event is meant to be FUN! You are encouraged to release your inner olympian or use this as an opportunity to have a nice walk in the woods with your family.
How can I show other people what a fun time I'm having?
We would love for you to document your adventure race and tag us @circlecamps on Instagram! You may even get extra points for this...
Where should I park?
Please park on the same side of the street that the house is on! Walk down the driveway and to the backyard around the right side of the house.
What is the purpose of the Team Fundraising Goal?
Each team has the option to set their own fundraising goals! You have individual team pages that you can share with members of your community to help raise additional funds for Circle Camps.
Wait, I still have questions!
