Hannah Rice
Executive Director
Hannah Rice is the Executive Director of Circle Camps, where her background in social work, love of the outdoors, and passion for creativity come together in what she considers an absolute dream job. She has spent her career in the nonprofit sector, working with organizations of different sizes and learning something valuable from each experience. Directly before joining Circle, she served as the Director of Programs at Foster Village Charlotte, supporting caregivers impacted by foster care and creating spaces where they could connect with others who “get it.”
Hannah first came to Circle in 2019 and has been part of the community ever since, serving as a volunteer counselor, care team member, and now Executive Director. She believes deeply in the power of belonging and the communities we build when people feel welcomed, understood, and accepted as they are. She is passionate about creating a place where grieving girls can build friendships, try new things, and just be kids, knowing they don't have to navigate grief alone.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work, Hannah believes in the power of community, creativity, and the magic of camp to help kids feel a sense of belonging, build confidence, and realize they’re capable of more than they imagined.
Sarah Hunt
Program Manager
Joining Circle Camps in 2026 allowed Sarah to combine her two greatest passions: youth mental health and camp programming. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Furman University and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, her education background guides her engagement with campers and their families.
Sarah brings a decade of experience working in the camp world, including five years in leaderships roles defined by quick problem solving, logistical planning, and creative program design. Beyond the camp environment, Sarah's professional background spans classroom teaching, student services, and out-of-school programming giving her a well-rounded perspective on youth development.
While at camp, you can find Sarah as a member of the clinical team, handling last-minute logistics, or anywhere there is arts and crafts supplies. Sarah's core philosophy is to create a safe, welcoming environment that prioritizes and supports camper mental health, allowing campers to heal, grow, and thrive. While not at camp, Sarah enjoys exploring local coffee shops or crossing another book or craft project off her list.
